'I'iwi ukuleles are made in Mililani, by Charley Fukuba.
Charley is not only a great ukulele maker, he is also an award winning steel guitarist. The band that he was with, Kipapa Rush Band, won a Nahoku Award (The Hawaiian Grammies).
He is currently a sit-in studio musician for Tony Conjugacion.
Charley's philosophy is to make an ukulele that has a consistent sound. The kind of instrument that any level of player can leave in their room, and pick it up anytime they have the itch to play something that has a good sound and a relaxing feel.
These ukuleles use some of the most high-quality woods and inlay that you can find in any ukulele. Simply said, they are beautiful!
