Instructor Bio
Gavin OnoGavin grew up in Hawaii dancing Hula from the age of 6.
At the age of 18, he and his halau I Ka Wekiu won 1st place at the Merrie Monarch Festival, the most well known and respected hula competition in Hawaii.
Today, he continues dancing hula with his halau, and studies Hawaiian language in college.
His main ukulele is his original five string tenor ukulele.
AKIBorn into a very musical family, Aki grew up playing music all his life.
His music is very much influenced by his mother, who is a music teacher and church organist in a Manoa Valley church.
He was the winner of the '94 Mid-America Piano Festival, in Lincoln Nebraska, where he spent his high-school years.
His main ukulele is a Pono 4 string tenor by Koolau Ukulele.
